Born about 1827 in Clark County, Illinois, the child known as Cynthia Ann moved with her Parker family to a remote newly settled area of Texas.

During a Commance raid most of Cynthia's family were killed, the young girl herself taken hostage. She grew up Native American, married, and gave birth to a son who would become famous, Quata Parker.

Before that was to be her uncle Daniel Parker rescued her at what today is Foard,Texas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foard_County,_Texas

Unaware Daniels rescue had made her a widow, poor Cynthia sat beside her window awaiting return of the Native husband she had come to love so dearly.

Eventually she died of a broken heart.

Family of Randy Taylor built a monument on that land they own today, in memory of poor Cynthia.

Little could she know the son she gave birth to would become world famous, a tribute to his tirbe as well as the American business world.
